American Pile and Foundation was responsible for installing the micropile foundations utilized to expand the Route 18 Overpass where it intersects Route 1 in New Brunswick, NJ. The project consisted of 120 – 13.625 inch, cased micropiles bonded into bedrock. American Pile and Foundation performed a successful compression load test to 1000 kips verifying HNTB Engineering’s design assumptions for the NJDOT, along with multiple proof tests throughout the project.
